Tottenham's Bryan Gil Set to Make Loan-to-Buy Move to Sevilla: Reports

Football Insider's Pete O Rourke has reported that Spanish club Sevilla is in negotiations with Tottenham to secure the loan-to-buy transfer of 21-year-old winger Bryan Gil. The Londoners are reportedly willing to let Gil go, following the recent acquisition of Arnaut Danjuma. Manager Jorge Sampaoli has reportedly personally reached out to Gil to discuss the move to Sevilla.

Gil operates on the right side of midfield, as an inverted winger who likes to cut inside on his favoured left foot. It's an area Sevilla are looking to strengthen in.

Sevilla manager Jorge Sampaoli has confirmed the club's interest in the Tottenham forward, who began his career at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium before joining Spurs in 2021.

Despite impressing during his limited first-team opportunities, the loan signing of Danjuma and competition from Lucas Moura, Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Heung-min Son have made it difficult for Gil to secure regular playing time. Tottenham assistant manager Cristian Stellini previously hinted that the club was considering keeping Gil despite interest from La Liga. However, an injury crisis and Gil's performance in the 4-0 win against Crystal Palace earlier this month may have swayed manager Antonio Conte's reservations opening the door for him to stay at Spurs.

He has previously impressed in La Liga during his time with Valencia, so Sevilla will know exactly what they're getting for their money as a tried and tested talent in their division.
